I have been trying to determine what would replace my own 7 year old The 55″ LCD rear projector screen, which has served me personally very well, for nearly a year. Bought this Television (UN55C7000) from Amazon about a month ago for around $1800.

Overall I UN55C7000 am extremely pleased with the TV. The top def quality will be exceptionally good. I believe Samsung LCDs beat anyone else’s LCDs when it comes to pure picture quality. And the bezel is very stylish and thin (even though I would have desired a traditional black will this new gold one).

However, there exists room for improvmemnt. I truly do notice some flashlighting through the corners as some other reviews have mentioned. It’s not terrible and turning the backlight as a result of 7 helps. It’s most noticeable in dark scenes any time viewed off perspective. I actually bought this particular TV for my personal parents house, and i also don’t think they’ve actually noticed this flashlighting impact. If you don’t know to watch out for it, you might never discover it.

This Tv set also does not have accurate local dimming like the 8000 series does. Rather this TV dims or perhaps brightens all the backlights simultaneously. Local dimming would have been good, but that feature almost certainly isn’t worth the additional $400 that Samsung expenses for it.

I believe the reason is that no matter how big you TC-P50GT25 Hd tv is it is only going to have 1080 lines of resolution, so the larger the HDTV the larger the p. This TV far exceeded my expectations. As many others have noted, I too was concerned with the fact that this TV was not 1080p. My parents own a Panasonic Viera 1080p plamsa, and I would say, however, that this LG plasma is very close in quality. I thought that images would not be as clear and crisp as I wanted them to, but I soon found out that I was wrong. From a comfortable viewing distance of 7 or so feet, this TV looks amazing. The detail in characters of movies and games is also impressive. I popped in my Avatar Blu-ray and I was immediately won over. The contrast between the lights and darks is great, and the black levels are very good, which is expected from a plasma. The 600hz refresh rate and fast response time make everything smooth, especially with sports and video games.

The only problem that I have with this TV is the fact that it does not make a good PC monitor. Whenever it is connected to a TV, the native resolution makes the desktop look a little large and mis-shapen, but when playing games from the PC to the screen, things look great. It is also nice that the monitor will accept the 1080p input from my gaming consoles and PC, so those look amazing as 42PW350 well.

The 3D games look great, but I cannot yet comment on the quality of 3D movies. However, because of the great 3-D games, I would have to imagine that a 3D movie would be just as impressive. The 2D to 3D conversion seems a little gimmicky, but it does add depth to your favorite shows and movies. I still prefer the 2D to stay in 2D though.

Overall, I would recommend this plasma. For the price and the inclusion of 2 free pairs of glasses (when I bought it anyways) this deal cannot be beaten. Excellent sound from the on-board speakers and equally amazing picture make me very happy that I bought this television.

However, the 3d top quality is not as nice because i would’ve hoped for. Your reasoning is that television ISNT actually 240hz only true 120hz. In 3d the frame charge gets even slower, so i only advise this TV without a great need for Three dimensional but really want a television with great net features.

No bloatware? Are you insane, or maybe drunk? I made the mistake of getting rid of 9.4.One particular and installing this despicable piece of digital drivel. I didn’t install from this point; I got it via Adobe.com.

I have Firefox Several.6, so it should have worked.) Thanks for Mister Tech Local Install, I was able to get the particular crap “Adobe DLM” extension set up.

The fun commenced.

Absolutely nothing happened, so I re-booted Firefox and went back to the download url. Lather, rinse, repeat, last but not least, the installation process started. It seemed to acquire eons, and in fact, continued for several minutes.

Again–no bloatware? Why does the FIREFOX EXTENSION, ADOBE Air flow, and a SERVICE (”nosGetPlusHelper”) find installed, just to modify and view PDF files?

And this was most for… What?

Adobe Viewer X (it’s sweet to use Roman numerals rather than regular numbers, don’tcha realize) commenced the suck immediately. At first kick off, it took close to a full minute to show up. But appear the idea did. Then I shut down it, and never discovered it again. Each time I would try to run the idea, nothing would happen.
